The DPMS G2 series of AR-10 style rifles are the lightest, most reliable, most technically advanced .308 Win modern sporting rifle today. DPMS designed the Gen 2 series the way that AR shooters want a .30 cal AR-10 rifle.

DPMS included multiple improvements to the bolt and bolt carrier group as well; a reduced diameter carrier decreases weight, and the integral gas key is bombproof. Dual ejector springs help to improve ejection, and the extractor and elastomer spring will last for tens of thousands of rounds without replacement.

Just as battle ready as the original .308 Recon, the 16 inch GII Recon weighs less, meaning that you can run it at your next high round count carbine course without needed excessive upper body workouts.
